Editor's note
Most sites are designed by one team and built by another. I do both, so what you approve is what ships.
I'm a designer and a full-stack engineer. I draw the interface, then build all of it: the front end, the back end and its database, payments, the AI when there is some, and the iPhone app when there's one. Ayoub Bennouna joins me when a brand needs drawing.
I'm also a doctor, trained in Fès, and I've been building for the web since medical school. I work for consultancies, medical congresses, schools and a hospital ward. Nothing gets lost between the design and the code, because there's nobody in between.

§ 02 · Method
How a project is made
Four stages, the way a zellige maker in Fès builds a panel. The weeks are for a typical website.
-
Stage I · Week 0
Listen
Every zellige pattern starts from one circle. Every project starts from one call.
- A 30-minute call
- What you need, what you have, what's in the way
-
Stage II · Week 1
Plan
From that circle come the few lines that decide everything else, written down before anything is made.
- One direction
- A written scope and content model
- A date and a fixed price
-
Stage III · Weeks 2 to 6
Build
Then the pieces, cut to the drawing and set one at a time, where you can see them every week.
- Design and code, together
- A real link you can open every week
- Changes while they're still cheap
-
Stage IV · Launch, and a month after
Ship
Last, the panel is grouted and set into the wall. It's yours, and it's meant to last.
- Launch
- A handover you can run without me
- A month of me close by
§ 03 · Prices
Every price is public
A fixed price, in writing, before any work starts. Dollars, euros or dirhams.
- Landing page from $999 One page that says what you do and gets you a call.
- Website from $1,999 A site your team runs without calling a developer.
- Product from $3,999 A product people log into: tickets, courses, a tool for your team.
- Care plan $99 a month Updates, small changes, an eye on it, after launch
§ 04 · About
A doctor who builds
Trained at the hospital in Fès. Designing and building since before that.
Medicine is my other trade. Some of my work is for the places I trained in: a duty planner for a neonatology service's nights, exam prep for the residency exam, a congress for medical students. If you build for health, I already speak the language.
Most of my clients aren't in health at all: a consultancy, an NGO for young mathematicians, a podcast. They hire me for the same reason: one person who designs it and builds it, and who answers the phone.
